Our Classic Car Tour – Tuscany & Umbria is the most perfect way to discover this breathtaking area of Italy, with its winding roads, rolling hills and world-class luxury hotels. The tour starts and ends in the Renaissance city of Florence, and over the course of six touring days you will get the chance to explore the fabulous countryside south of Florence at a relaxed pace, behind the wheel of your dream classic car. Tantalise your tastebuds at exquisite restaurants en route – both Michelin starred fine dining and traditional Italian cuisine – and unwind between drives at arguably some of the most exclusive five star hotels in the whole of Europe.
Behind the wheel of a modern car it is easier to cover slightly longer distances in a day, however our classic car tour is neither about speed nor long distances – you will cover shorter distances per day, giving you a chance to truly immerse yourself in the ultimate Tuscan experience, with plenty of time to enjoy the exclusive hotels, visit local wineries for tours and tastings, or even arrange activities such as cooking classes, horseback riding, truffle hunting or golf during your leisure time. Out of the six days you’ll spend with the car two of the days are more relaxed – on one of the days you can choose to explore more of Umbria by car or just enjoy a day at leisure at the hotel, and on the other day you can opt for an easy half an hour drive to the next hotel, or a slightly longer route of a few hours.

In Florence you will begin your adventure at the splendid Villa Cora, a stunning 19th century building set on a hill overlooking the Boboli Gardens, a short distance from Florence’s historic city centre and main attractions. Once behind the wheel of your classic you’ll journey into the picturesque countryside, with your first stop being the splendid The Club House, perched on a tranquil hilltop with panoramic views over the Chianti hills and a Michelin starred restaurant. Your home for the next two nights is the Reschio Hotel in Umbria, a thousand-year-old castle turned into one of the most exclusive establishments in the world, with its magnificent stables home to some of the world’s finest purebred Spanish dressage horses. From Umbria you’ll venture back into Tuscany through picture perfect Val d’Orcia, this time stopping at the elegant Castello de Banfi – Il Borgo in the world-renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine region, with a Michelin starred restaurant and winery on the grounds of the estate. The next day you can choose between a shorter or longer drive to the fantastic Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, set within one of the oldest and best-preserved estates in Tuscany, boasting a 2 star Michelin gastronomic restaurant, on-site winery and private golf course. Your final drive takes you back to Florence where you’ll conclude your classic car tour in Tuscany at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, a converted Renaissance-era palazzo in the heart of the city, also home to a Michelin starred restaurant.
